whaaa happened?

i've gotten poor sleep over the past week and that helped lead up to a mini meltdown i had last night.

several things have led to stress over the past month and though nothing in particular happened yesterday, it was just time for a release. the last straw was because of a dog toy. Maddy has this wolf that howls instead of having a squeaker. she seems to like it just fine even now that it doesn't howl, but it's sad to watch her play with it and bite it repeatedly to get it to make a sound. i've replaced squeakers before, so when i took Wolfie apart and saw that it used 3 watch batteries, i repalced the batteries. no howling...the speaker for his howl is broken. my inability to save Maddy's toy hit me hard, and next thing i knew i was in a puddle of tears.

now that i'm hours removed from the Wolfie debacle, i can remind myself that i can put a squeaker in and she'll still be happy with it - actually, she'd be happy with Wolfie just sewn up again. but he'll get a squeaker, she'll get her toy back, and i'll try not to cry over dog toys anymore.
