whaaa happened?

saw the doc last week and was more than a bit shocked to hear him say "go play some hockey". i had just been explaining that i felt much better since my last injection, but had slipped back a bit over the past 2 weeks. he thinks it'd be good if i moved my arm around without thinking directly about doing that.

structurally, at this point, my shoulder is good to go. so after getting approval from the league (thanks, Ms. Division Coordinator!) i signed up and am ready for my first game on tuesday.

i was getting my hockey gear ready this afternoon (literally cleaning off the cobwebs) and went back outside. somehow i landed in a funny way and totally twisted my left ankle. not good when it's painful right away, not good when you hear a pop/snap. immediately, i thought "great, now i'm out at least another month" and then after feeling blood rush to the area, my thought was "crap, i broke my ankle again!"

well, after a few minutes the panic wore off and after icing and elevating, i think i'm okay. we'll see how it is tomorrow. at the very least, i know it's not broken again! as for the pap - er, pop, (thanks Susan!) could have been my knee. that, too, feels ok though.

*phew*

maybe i'll spring for parking near the Tank for tonight's game!
