Dr. E and Mr. E

as in Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, which, by the way, i've never read.

anyhoo, when i first met Dr. E, i was less than impressed. he wasn't rude, but brusque. not what i was hoping for in a doc. but, after waiting a month, i went back to see him. i was nervous that i didn't see his assistant this time, because he had made me feel comfortable during the first visit. so i was anxious when Dr. E came in (after only 25 minutes this time!) but was greeted by a different cat. or perhaps less busy, less stressed, or less distracted. he was very friendly this time, did not rush through examining my shoulder and went through my history in much more detail than the first time.

he wants to get an mri since i didn't have one post-op (after last summer) but he's out of town for the next 3 weeks. so, i'm digging deep to find more patience and will return to Palo Alto early in July for another mri - this one being my first-ever contrast mri! i hope i get the contrast injected instead of having to drink it.

so that's that. i'm much more at ease with Doc E right now and am hoping that these next 3.5 weeks just fly by.

Comments:
If it's what I had, it's injected, not ingested. Oh, wait, that was for an x-ray. 3.5 weeks, man! That is a while. I hope this guy figures out exactly what you need to get Old Hickory back on the ice!
