amendment to stooopid
thank goodness, Watsonville has officially banned the sale of fireworks.
that being said, i do feel for the nonprofits who have arranged for the safe use of fireworks but it's just too dangerous right now.
i'm sure there will be a fair share of idiots who will set fireworks off anyhow, after having gotten hold of them somehow, but hopefully people will use reason and be safe.

there are huge tents selling fireworks up here, and there's even shelves of 'em at target. combination of cool and a little freaky. will be interesting to see what the 4th is actually like...
