weekend happenings

i spent friday doing laundry and trying to recover from 28 consecutive almost-always-awake hours.

drove up to palo alto on saturday for my great-aunt's 100th birthday lunch. i think she's the first person i've actually known and been around who has lived 100 years. she's still very sharp and recognized my mom right away. she was confused by my short hair but came to realize who i was. she was very pleased with the large cake my mom brought for her and seemed to enjoy the company of family, especially her great-granddaughter. after lunch and a visit afterwards, i drove the folks back to Monterey and showed them pictures from my trip.

headed back to santa cruz on sunday and got settled in again. made it to hockey on time despite a ginormous backup from los gatos to my side of the summit. (the summit, Andrea!) didn't skate super well, but well enough to stay in red and be ass-cap this season. it was great seeing everyone again...i think i smiled nearly the whole time!

back at work now, eating cup noodles (still perplexed by the missing " 'o") since my refrigerator is pretty empty.

red draft tonight...i must try not to stress about it! so many people i want on my team!

...and it turned out awesome anyway! Yeah for the OMG Team!
