Nemo
it's on tv now and when it started, i flashed back to the first time i saw the movie. it was the summer of 2003 and my mom and i were in SF. my dad was up at UCSF for the first of his 4 treatment stays, and it was ridiculously hot - record setting, actually. we headed to the theater while he was napping and saw the movie.
of all the times i've seen it since then, i never really let myself think about when i first saw it. maybe because that was a time that scared the heck out of me. i hope it's not a sign that i'm allowing myself to think about it now.
Nemo and his dad found enough courage to go out in the big wide world; i hope i can find enough courage to swim with my dad, no matter what his journey may be.
