it's just a mountain, but it feels like an ocean

i love my job - really, despite any complaining i may do, i know that i'm very fortunate to do something that i enjoy and rarely need to force myself to do.

BUT, this location sucks when most of your friends live on the other side of a significantly sized mountain range. (either that or in Alaska, Hawaii, or Italy). i wouldn't trade my job or this location (only 45 minutes away from home) but since i don't have weekly hockey games where i get to see all my buddies, i've found myself in a social rut. nothing is keeping me from going to games to watch my friends right now except for knowing how much it sucks to watch when i want to play. it's not even the playing that i miss so much - it's the time on the bench, chirping with friends, catching up on random chit-chat.

i should make it to a game soon - i'm sure it can only help my mood. i'll start by taking my hockey gear to get cleaned tomorrow and i'll pick it up the following weekend. i'm gonna try to go see an exhibit in SJ with Vivo, then maybe after that i'll see if my team has a game.

enough pouting for now. off to waste time on faceb00k!

Comments:
could you go to the games and run the doors? do they allow that in your league?

We miss you too, and refuse to win until you come back, so hurry it up already. ;)

Come up with an event and invite us to it? Movie? Game night? Dinner at an interesting place? Charity project? :-)
