about a hat, and some geography
so i'm wearing this hat today. i had to ask someone in another lab a very quick question so i walked into the lab and he said "cool, MSU!" i thought "wow", because mississippi is a long way from here and they're not well known outside of the SEC. so we continue our conversation. a few minutes later he asks me "what is it?" i had no idea that he was talking about the hat, so he says "what is it, MSU?" before i can answer:
him: oh, Montana state university.
me: no, think more south.
him: yeah, Minnesota state university.
me: no, think south.
him: right, Missouri state university.
me: um, no. think Gulf Coast.
him: oh. ummmm, yeah. oh! Mississippi state university!
