weekend adventures
the title makes it sound like there were multiple adventures, but there was really only one.
i spent saturday (in this order): sleeping in, going up to lab, reading 4 pages of a book, napping, eating dinner, watching the Sharks play well for more than 15(cumulative) minutes.
Gouda and Kathi were headed up to golden gate park on sunday and Kathi invited me to go. why not? the four of us (including Poppy, Kathi's mini-dog who is rapidly losing his voice - bad voice box? weak battery?) headed up and started out at the Conservatory of Flowers. lots of really neat species to see, especially tons of different orchid varieties. the special exhibit, carnivorous plants, was tons of fun. i took some pictures but i'm sure Gouda's will have lots of good ones. we went from there to the botanical gardens and even saw a fox! we made it back relatively early, even with a stop for donuts (!) on the way home.
nothing too exciting to report from today...PT in the morning, work until later than usual. sounds like the Sharks are playing really well, and i'm bitter that the game isn't being televised! imagine that, 60 minutes of play from the boys! and puck pursuit! i love it.
time to finally go hang my Homer Simpson lights in the living room.
