whaaa happened?

so we're at the end of the red draft last night and i thanked our coordinator for letting me co-captain even though i won't be on the ice until November or so. another co-captain (G) didn't know the situation and she asked what was wrong. without any hesitation at all, Andrea says (with a completely straight face) "impacted b0wel". G gives Andrea this look that says "you just said that out loud?" and then gives me this look of "you just LET her say that out loud?"

i was laughing so hard i can't really remember if i told her that it was my shoulder that was keeping me out. a few minutes later i exclaimed to Andrea "of all the maladies and afflictions to come up with, you spout out that?" i mean, come on...ankle injury, knee injury, appendectomy, concussion, broken toe...and she comes up with that gem. :-)

i'm still chuckling about it - mostly because it is JUST my shoulder that's the problem. :-)
