getting closer...
to surgery day. had my pre-op appointment on friday - that went pretty well. i didn't have to do much, so that was easy. :-)
when i wake up from the anesthesia on thursday afternoon, i'll find out if i'm in a sling for a few days (arthroscopic only) or for 6 weeks (mini-open). i'll also know if they had to snip my biceps tendon or not, a potential problem that was discovered on friday.
so, until thursday, i'll keep the chant of "no open, no open" in my mind, but i can't say i'm hopeful.

no, apparently the point of the pre-op was to scare the sh*t out of me by saying that either way, it'll probably be more painful than my back or ankle surgery. so much so that i get to take pain pills the night before the surgery.
