tournament and then sniffles
was in Phoenix last weekend for a tournament. spent some quality time with my buddies, finally got to play in the pool on our last day there, and i think i even adjusted to the heat (yes, a dry heat) pretty well.
by the time we got home i was feeling a bit run down, but chalked that up to travel and continuously moving from 100+ heat to AC back to heat, etc. by tuesday afternoon i gave in and realized it was an actual illness, so Gouda took me home and i headed for bed. and there i stayed. all day wednesday. all day thursday. went to work for a meeting and to tend to a few things friday morning, but was back home just after noon and went straight to bed. stayed there all day yesterday, most of today. my excitement for today was turning on the computer, checking email, and finding that my fantasy team did well this week.
no more fever, so i'll probably head into work for a bit tomorrow. have lots of things to catch up on now, and need to work on those things that needed catching up before this latest delay. ugh!
that's it for now, mostly to stay off of the bottom of Viv's blogroll. ;-)

I got so sick in NYC in 1994 at the Gay Games, for the same reason. Heat, AC, heat, AC. The subway stations aren't air-conditioned. The subway cars are. Ugh.
You looked great tonight, whacking that puck with your hickory stick!
