whaaa happened?

had a great bbq lunch on sunday for father's day. we were joined by our dear family friends, which made this lunch so awesome. just 9 days out of surgery and R was in our backyard, chowing down on bbq, chatting away, and smiling at Maddy.

Maddy got some new toys this weekend - a new puppy (#3) and a pig that oinks. she loves playing with different toys depending on the noise they make, and since she hadn't heard the oink before she was quite pleased. puppy is the mainstay, though. even though she's on #3 now, it's virtually impossible to get rid of #s 1 and 2. especially #1 - "original puppy". she still plays with it almost every day.

got a cortisone shot on friday for my shoulder. hurt like hell on saturday, but it's back to "normal" soreness today. slight improvement in range of motion, though the main places that made me go ouch still make me go ouch. if it's no better by next friday, then it's likely MRI time. that makes for moldy, stinky, and grumpy Cheddah - had to miss a subbing opportunity last friday, missed the Are Too! game on sunday, and have to miss next sunday's Are Too! game, too. booooooo.

but, hopefully this will do the trick and in 10 days i will no longer be saying ouch.
