yeah, it's been a while...
understatement of the year: i have not been a consistent blogger. not that this really affects the world in any way, i just thought i'd throw the statement out there.
some highlights from visiting Nicole and Joe:
i know there's a lot more i'm missing, but it was a great visit with my buddies. i think this is the first time i left and didn't cry at the airport! not that i don't miss them any less, because i already want to go back, but i was proud of myself for not crying.

summer ncwhl season starts tomorrow - yay! my favoritest linemate isn't on my team this season but i know it'll still be fun. just not *as* fun.
some highlights from visiting Nicole and Joe:
- there was rain in Kihei (and pretty much island-wide) on the 13th, 14th, morning of the 15th. great for the island, which needed it, bad for me because rain and wind = runoff = murky water = potential for sharkies = bad. but, thunderstorms = cool.
- we witnessed a few awesome sunsets from the beach just down the road from my home away from home.
- i tipped over in a chair, but fortunately it was only about 2 inches off of the ground.
- helped finish off 2 small containers of beer cheese.
- i got to see Nicole do her thang at "the table" in the Ahihi-Kinau reserve.
- Nic and i enjoyed lunch one day on the shores of Ho'okipa and watched ~15-20 foot waves come in set after set.
- went to the "vent" on the southeast side of Haleakala and got a new-to-me view of the island and La Perouse.
- met Pedro the kitty, saw Prince again and for some reason decided to call him "Princeypuss", and saw Tubby Jingles (the fattest cat ever) again!
