the Hip and the Vinyl Trees
saw The Hip at the fillmore on monday night - of course, they were awesome. lots of the classics and some from the new album. gawd, i love this band.
also heard the Vinyl Trees for the first time in person. they played upstairs before the Hip and i can't stop listening to their cd. of course i'm biased because it's Smitty in the band, but they truly rock. it was super fun to listen to them and also to see many Sharks there to have a good time and support Smitty.
couldn't fall asleep once i got home because i had so many Hip songs running through my head. lack of sleep is catching up with me now, but it was well worth it.
