time flies...

i didn't realize until today that i've been really bad about reading and posting.

hope you all had a great thanksgiving. i'm back in sc now after a week or so in monterey. had a great time hanging out with the folks and Maddy. got lots of chores done in and around the house and also around town. it was great having 3 extra days off of work, but i'm still going to have to take more time off to get my vacation hours down. a day here, a day there...and longer breaks over the Christmas holiday. wooo!

managed to get 2 Sharks games in, both wins! saw Steph and Susi at wednesday's game and got to wish them a happy turkey day (and wish Steph a happy trip!) also went on saturday night which was a great game - pretty well played by both teams, and of course it was great because the good guys came out on top.

thanksgiving was nice and mellow - helped my mom in the kitchen and around the house, then we were joined for dinner by a family friend and one of my coworkers (he just moved here and couldn't fly home for the weekend). Maddy was thrilled to have guests and of course she behaved like a champ.

i got lots of sleeping done but am still afraid that i'm coming down with something - i've been fighting off a dragging feeling and sore throat for a couple of weeks now. must not give in!

i was worried about the state of my christmas shopping a few weeks ago, but thanks to the wonders of the internet, i'm pretty caught up. of course there are still some holes to fill in, but hopefully i'll come up with those ideas soon.

in the meantime, it's raining outside and i'm hoping the hockey tarp will hold up. after all, i finally got around to shortening the velcro on my elbow pads and they actually stay on now! i'll have to adjust my shin guards, too. much easier and less costly (but not less stinky) than buying new gear.

Comments:
yay velcro!
glad you had a good tday!
thanks for reminding me about xmas shopping. hopefully the internet will be as kind to me as it was to you.
