whaaa happened?

the GAB will be 2 years old tomorrow, and a lot has happened in those 2 years. i'm not motivated enough to do what might normally be the obligatory 2-year recap. every part of me that has been surgically repaired (and just for the fun of it, some parts that have never had anything wrong) has been acting out lately - anywhere from a dull ache to a go away now! kind of ache. i thought it was the weather, but the weekend was nice and i'm no less achy.

but i shouldn't complain. after all, my dad is celebrating 3 years of post-stem cell transplant, remission free life. my brother is not only back in the state, he's in town. Maddy makes my parents happier than i could have ever wanted. several of my close friends have beautiful, healthy children. i have a job (for now) that i love and i will remain optimistic that i'll have this job for a long time. i'm still playing hockey - LOVE my team this ncwhl season and finally, finally get to play with Steph again!

so, for what it's worth, happy almost-bday, GAB. i'll celebrate tomorrow by returning to the scene of the crime to watch the Sharks. i know lots of you will be there (or watching at home) and even if i don't see you in person, know that i've thanked you every day these past 2 years for your friendship.
