awesome saturday
- i slept in for a little bit
- Justin put up our "hockey deck" area in the back - built a wooden frame that we covered with a tarp. this will (hopefully) serve to let hockey equipment air out yet stay dry when it rains.
- played some Bond, some NHL2K6 with Justin.
- saw Karrie and the girls - now just over 8 months old and so cute! A and A amuse each other and are the best of friends already.
- had tons of fun in a pickup hockey game/semi-Burninators practice. it was great to skate with friends who are in other divisions.
- after hockey, went for food at the IHOPaulus. he was very busy tending to a party of 20+ volleyball players, but i like to think he was more excited to see his favorite hockey players. :-)
- Val, Andrea, and Liz surprised me with a fantabulous cupcake cake that had this awesome dayglo blue (okay, cyan) frosting. i got it all over my face and hands, prompting me to honor Arrested Development and Tobias by saying "i think i just blue myself". i also received cool toys from them (it molds like dough!) and Susan sent along a gift for me, too. (thanks, Susan...you rock. we missed you, but thanks for remembering me!) i have yet to name the kung-fu fighting mouse, though "Susan" is a front-runner right now. :-) i'm open to suggestions.
