whaaa happened?

i have the lab pretty much to myself today, since everyone else is off at the departmental retreat. i could have gone, but after 3 years of the same thing and on top of other things, i just didn't feel like pretending to be interested in posters and socializing.

so i'm in here and i have the Giants game on the lab speakers. :-)

one of our undergrads is also in - but he's keeping to himself for the most part.

it's weird, because it's not that i dislike my labmates (not close to that at all!). i guess it's just that sometimes it's nice to be able to do your thing at work and not worry about what other people are doing or what they might need from me while i'm in the middle of something. ahhhh, peace and quiet. yet another sign that i'm getting old! :-D
