whaaa happened?

since the new place i call home has a dirt area in the backyard, i decided i'd see if any plants would take in the soil. weeds grow fine, as do some leftovers from the previous occupant of the place, but color is always nice. i had gotten two orchids (for $1 each!!!) at the campus' greenhouse plant sale earlier in the week, but obviously those aren't outside plants. so i headed to the nursery to look for colorful things. i decided to start on a small scale - why go all out if the soil is no good? so for now there are sunflower seeds, one sunflower plant, and 6 celosia. we'll see how they do.

so that was my saturday morning/early afternoon. i left for hockey early so i could stop and visit Karrie, Joe, Amy, and Alyssa. oh, my goodness, are those girls cuties! hard to believe they're 5 months old already. it's really cute how they love to talk to each other, how they hold hands when they sleep, and how they smile nonstop.

the cutefest continued once i made it to hockey - Val was there, all bundled up, cheering us on.
regarding the game, it's amazing what can happend when you play with the same people game after game. i feel like i'm really getting to know where my linemates will be, and Amy connected on an absolutely awesome goal in the first period. we were tied up at 2 with less than a minute left (i think?) but Doris, who was subbing for us, popped one in and we won 3-2. wooo! only downside of the game was that i missed seeing Jen and Lucinda, who were out of town. not the same without you two!

went to get some food afterwards and held Val for a good while as she slept. she is so precious! the game was fun, the company afterwards (and during the game) was great. i know i've said it before, but i love my team so much!

was going to play coed on sunday evening but woke up on sunday feeling very sluggish from my newest allergy. boo!
