defrost faster!
i think this is the first time i'm defrosting the lab freezer since...well, duh, since the last time i defrosted it. but i think the last time i did was when i took the pictures of Tux in the icy mess.
it really isn't a big ordeal, but i always seem to make a big production out of it. the hardest part is finding places to store our frozen goods while el freezer is defrosting. fortunately some lab neighbors have room for us, so we're borrowing space while our freezer sits open and slowly drips out water.
as if defrosting a freezer wasn't fun enough, we are all charmed by the noise of the "air circulator", a.k.a. "super dryer". it really isn't one, but it looks like a hair dryer and sounds just like one. it's effective - amazing how just circulating the cold air out of the freezer makes the task go much faster, but it's also mildly annoying.
hopefully we'll be all defrosted and ready to cool back down (me and the freezer, literally) later on today.
