ugh
sometimes the "common cold" can be quite uncommon. at least i'm now convinced of this. the cold that will not die came back again last week. i am blaming it on last monday's seminar that was completely underwhelming and held in a freezing cold room. not just freezing cold, but with nifty little vents blowing even colder air at my feet. nice.
well, sore throat on tuesday snowballed into congestion, cough, stuffy head, etc. on wednesday and by lunchtime i was home and back in bed again. it's bad enough being under the weather, but i hate missing work!
went to the doctor on thursday to make sure i didn't have pneumonia - my breathing was pretty raspy and my chest was feeling tight. good thing, no pneumonia, just another variety of the common cold.
had to miss more hockey because of this darn thing - coed game at 1:30 and practice with the team that i heart so much, Bananaphone, tonight. :-(
but, there is progress. i've been awake since before 10:00 this morning, out of bed since 1:00 this afternoon, and i even have my contact lenses in! gotta get better by tuesday's sharks game!
