mini work rant
just got back from a meeting that described the new er, newer uh, dangit, the newest purchasing system. over the course of the past 2 years, what i've had to do to get product A into our lab for use has changed three times now. hopefully this will be the last.
it's now all online, at least from my end of the deal, and hopefully the transition won't be too hard. but ya know, i had all these things inventoried in FileMakerPro databases, and they just ain't compatible anymore.
i am not a creature that enjoys change; as a matter of fact, i tend to fear it. (see post below) but, this is how things are going to work, so i hope it's very permanent and more user-friendly than it initially seems. i imagine it will save me time in the long run, but dammit, i had a system that worked for me!
look out, here comes change!
