whaaa happened?

well, i finally posted a picture of Maddy below.

spent most of the weekend in Monterey again, and i continue to be blown away by how great Maddy is. of course i'm biased because i love her, but for her age (somewhere between 2 and 3) she is very mellow - good for my parents. she loves to give kisses and loves to be petted.

i can't even find the right words to describe her or how happy i am that she and my parents found each other. it feels like the gaping hole in my heart that has been with me since Molly died is finally now being mended. it'll never be the same, and won't ever be full repaired, but Maddy is helping to take the hurt away and even though i don't see her in person every day, not a day (or an hour) goes by that thinking of her doesn't make me smile.
