sharks game or green game?

that was my debate for last night. back end of a home-and-home (at least from the Sharks' point of view) vs. a major division rival or a green game. i think i normally would have opted for going to the Sharks game, but since Justin is in town, i felt good knowing that he'd be a happy recipient of the ticket. so, game on! well, it was game on! for both games, but...oh, forget it.

we had no goalies but enough skaters so we played 4-on-4 (which is fun at Belmont anyhow) with skaters in net. TQ stood in net for us and was awesome! she deflected pucks left and right and did a great job. Steph went nuts for us and couldn't stop making great passes or putting the puck in the net. it was a lot of fun to get to play with her - usually if we're on the same squad, we're both centering and switching up for each other, but because of the rotation we had, it was great to play with her. Wendy skated really well but Elissa was the rock star last night. she gave such a great effort with no goals to show for it, but did a good job on D and never stopped trying. way to go, team!

since we played the 2nd and 3rd periods on running time, we had about 10 extra minutes after the game to mess around. for some reason i wasn't dead tired, so i skated around a bit more and practiced lifting my forehand. getting better at it - was even able to ring some off of the crossbar. not that missing the net is a good thing, but at least i missed high. now, gotta get consistent and then work on lifting the backhand. well, maybe start with just a regular ol' backhand.

stopped for some food with Susan, Andrea, and Liz on the way home and laughed so hard because of the pink pet that we found and because of the chicken dance. please, someone save "Arrested Development".
