one year ago...
hard to believe it's been one year to the day of the GAB.
sometimes it feels like it's been a decade. i've been skating for 6-7 months already and now that i'm back to seeing most of the people i normally see on a weekly basis, things are mostly right again in my little universe.
sometimes the GAB feels so fresh. there's still apprehension at times, but that's mostly immediately preceding a game. i get more nervous than i used to, don't know if i chase as many pucks as i used to or would like to. i'd like to think that it doesn't bother me, but i know that it does. maybe not consciously, but i suppose when i have the occasional dream about it, that means it's on my mind.
in any case, it's been one year. lots of good things have happened in that year, some crappy things. i suppose that's the case for any 365 day span. But, 11/7 will always remind me of my game at the Tank, how my family and friends were so supportive, and ultimately, how lucky i am to have my health and said family and friends.

I heart having you back so much that I sang a song for you at the ice rink even though you didn't hear me.
