candy corn
okay, Viv has a similar (!) thread, but i figured candy corn deserved a topic of its own.
i really like candy corn, and imagine that i could get sick from too much candy corn quite easily. my favorite is the traditional colored one (orange at the base, then yellow, with a white tip) but the variant of throwing some black in there is always good for a change.
despite my love for candy corn, i found it hard to come across this year. okay, i didn't try very hard, but i wasn't able to find any at target. i've been thinking about candy corn since monday, hoping that someone at work would bring some in on tuesday. no dice. i've been too lazy to drag myself to the store to look for 50% off candy corn, but maybe tonight is the night.
i am convinced that there is rarely a middle ground with candy corn. you either love it or hate it. seldom have i met a person who thinks it's just okay. how 'bout you?

i like them fine, wouldn't say they were my favorite, and yeah, i didn't see much corn this year. this guy brought in candy pumpkins, same stuff, just in pumpkin shape, and they were just a little too much for me. had to offset with crackers. =D
I haven't had any candy corn this year!!! Wahhhhhh. Need candy corn. And sorry Andrea, those little pumpkins are not the same. Wrong texture, thickness, and no little white point. (Ok, that's starting to sound obscene so I better stop.) See what a lack of candy corn does to a person.
Susan, you are right on. those pumpkins are SO not the same. there is something very special about the original candy corn.
looks like i'm gonna have to go candy corn hunting before sunday's game! :-)
