whaaa happened?

had the pleasure of watching Axel last night while his mom and dad went out to dinner. he was so cute, as usual, and started off with a bang. when Tiffani and i pulled up across the street from their house, we saw him on the deck that looks over the street. i waved from the car and he waved, then started jumping up and down. when i got out of the car i could hear him saying "jena jena jena jena jenaaaaa!" (yes, he can pretty much say my name now, which is cute, but i do miss him calling me cheddah). i think he even threw in a "hurry up" as he ran to the front door.

we played with all sorts of toys, mostly the new truck that his mom gave him. actually, he was so busy with the truck that he didn't even touch his trains! we had pizza for dinner and ice cream for dessert, both of which were very exciting for Axel. we attempted to get him into his pajamas and finally succeeded by promising that we'd play more and read books after he got into his pajamas. just when he had crawled into his toddler bed (no more crib!) and was starting to show signs of sleepiness, his parents came home and then he got his second wind. he spent a loooong time jumping around. when Grant tried to get him to go to bed, Axel told him "go away. go away." and then he kept jumping. finally it was time for goodnight kisses and hugs.

he is SO CUTE! and a very sweet kid.
