whaaa happened?

friday night: went to Giovanni's with TQ and met Liz, Andrea, Viv, Ellaine, and Lauren there. i had been craving the baked ziti since Liz's birthday dinner when i was sitting next to G and she ordered it. so, i finally got my ziti. itiz!

after dinner we cruised down the road to see March of the Penguins, which i highly recommend. i was surprised at how packed the theater was. yes, it was a small theater, but i was still pleased to see that movies like this are drawing crowds. it was excellent - makes me wonder why penguins don't just move somewhere warmer! those penguin babies are so cute!

saturday marked the 5th consecutive day that i had driven to San Jose (or farther). i met my folks at Karrie and Joe's house and we had lunch, visited, and relaxed. it still blows my mind (in a good way) that i've known Karrie since preschool and that we still keep in touch.

drove up to belmont for GHATD which was lots of fun. TQ was there, all geared up, and did really well! it was a bit hectic trying to help everyone find gear and then help them put it on in a reasonable order but hey, everyone needs to start somewhere! went to Monterey after GHATD and didn't do much the rest of the night.

sunday was a fun day - helped my Dad unpack and set up his new TV. he's so happy with it, and i know he'll be even happier once his hi-def signals start coming through. when that happens, i just might have to drive home more often to check out the Sharks in HD!

since my folks have their new TV in place, i loaded up their old media cabinet and brought it back to SC. i think my place is now (finally) all in order. well, there are always minor tweaks here and there, but for the most part everything is as i had hoped it would be.
