whaaa happened?

for some reason, whenever certain movies are on TV, i can't not watch them. even if i have them on DVD, it somehow seems like a special treat that they're on TV.

Todd, John, and i were watching Jaws one night and were complaining about all of the commercial breaks. about halfway through the movie, we had the brilliant idea to just put in the DVD. heh.

but this is different. Field of Dreams is my classic "must watch if on TV" movie. i've seen it a million times (okay, maybe 100) and own 2 copies of it. so, theoretically, i can watch it any time i want to. but if i see it on TV i have to stop and watch it. i won't even put the DVD in at that point - i just continue watching on TV.

the movie i've been doing this with most recently is "The Jackal". doesn't help that it's been on USA's loop very frequently! i watched the end of it with my dad last weekend and it's on again now. so i must go watch.
