whaaa happened?

i took the afternoon off from work yesterday and my parents drove up from monterey. we then went to meet my cousin Denise and her husband, Peter, who are vacationing. it's always good to see them but unfortunately it's not often that we do. this was an extra special visit because it was the first time i met their daughter, Ria Maye. she'll be 20 months old in a couple of weeks - hard to believe that so much time has already passed since she became part of my cousin's family.

Ria was in nap mode most of the time we were there, but we did see her enjoying a ride on her dad's lap in his wheelchair when we first arrived. i wish i had taken pictures - i assumed she'd be up a little while longer, but she's been busy being cute for lots of people, so she zonked out really fast.

hopefully it won't be long before we see them again.
