rant rant rant
at long last, dsl is supposed to be activated tomorrow. i received my wireless router yesterday and they sent the wrong one. grrrrrrrrrrrrr! what i got instead was a basic modem that would technically allow access to only one computer. i say technically because my computer couldn't recognize it even though the ethernet light was lit up.
i spent over 45 minutes on the phone with sbc this morning before leaving for work and didn't have an answer yet. so i set up some stuff at work, called back, and spent another 30 minutes on the phone. oh, sure, they'll send out the correct piece of equipment and i'll receive it in 3-5 business days. in the meantime, my long-lost internet connection will be active but i won't see it. *sniff, sniff*
i was going to bitch to the folks i spoke with this morning but realized that it would do nothing but get me worked up even more. were they going to overnight the router to me? no. was i going to get pissed that they wouldn't? yes.
so i'll just be patient a little bit longer and i'll smile tonight when i visit with Axel.

It's a pain, but just out of principle, I say make sure they don't charge you for the 3-5 business days of nonservice!
