sunday happenings
my sunday morning was a repeat of saturday: slept in and decided to stay away from lab. talked to Nicole for a while, which is always nice - makes it feel like she's not so far away.
had a ncwhl game in Fremont at 4, and i was supposed to stop in San Jose on my way there to pick something up for my mom. of course, being a doofus, i left too late and went straight to Fremont. sorry, ma. the game was fun - my first time back on the Fremont ice since the G.A.B. for some reason i played D, which was fine...maybe even fun! it was fun playing with Delphina - she's gotten really good! that was nice, because she saved me more than a few times! Eileen was our goalie and for having only skated and played a few times, she was great. we ended up losing 2-0 but i think everyone played well.
went with Liz and Andrea to get some food at City Beach. there was a birthday party going on there with lots of inflatable bouncy slides. oh how i wanted to play on them. instead i settled for a baja burger (i think that's what it was called), which was quite tasty.
Andrea and Liz were kind enough to let me hang out at their place until the 9:00 coed game. i got to play with the dogs and oh, my goodness, how great Zeus looked! he hippity hopped, spun, wagged, pranced, and jumped! yeah, barked too. ;-)
game 2 of the doubleheader was a lot of fun. the team this season has so many great people on it and i was smiling and laughing on the bench more often than not. it's gonna be a fun season, regardless of what our final record is.
