no creative title
started off by going to lab in the morning and making good on my promise - made the cryostat my biznatch. woohoo! was up there for about 2 hours and then came home to do some laundry, watch the Giants game, get ready for hockey practice, and other miscellaneous chores around the house.
Red made my day today by informing me that Protector has been finished and is looking for a foster home. and since Heather and Gerald are passing on Protector, it'll be coming to Santa Cruz! he only guarantees protection from closet monsters, but i'm hoping that i'll also be protected from injuries - hockey or otherwise. can't wait for Protector to live in Santa Cruz!
since Andrea and Liz were out of town until later tonight, i stopped by to visit Zeus this afternoon. i talked to the vet for a bit and she said that he's looking much better. he's also been eating more! i hadn't seen him earlier so it's hard for me to say, but i thought he looked good considering all he's been through. he was sleeping when i got there but quickly picked up his head and immediately smelled the chicken i brought for him. talk about a vacuum cleaner - he ate the chicken in no time and kept smelling the bag hoping that more would appear. we hung out for a while and i loved having the opportunity to keep him company. i know he can't wait to see Andrea and Liz.
hockey was good - crossover drills, teaching newbies positioning, passing, and a mini-scrimmage at the end. we'll be choosing teams on tuesday before our first game. there was a red game after our practice, so i got to see lots of my buds.
that's it. off to watch Arrested Development now (VCRs are still good for something, for those of us who don't have TiVo!). hopefully it won't be the absolute last new episode.
