and splat goes the ziploc
some time during the night (in between trip #2 and trip #3 to check on it) the ziploc bag taped to our living room ceiling went kersplat. it landed halfway in the bucket i had set up on a stepladder - hanging over the side. a lot of water was still in the bag, the rest was on the stepladder itself or on the carpet below. fortunately, i had a miraculous stroke in genius (okay, maybe that's a stretch) and decided to move a piece of extra carpet under the stepladder. beauteous. extra carpet = wet. living room carpet = dry.
the roofers are coming this morning to check out the situation. i'm picturing an extensive job because i don't want another half-assed patch job done.

what, no kiddie pool to put the ladder in???
hrm, in our house, there'd likely be more "liquid" as someone (gus or zeus) declares the pool MINE. =)
