uplifting phone calls
ever get one of those phone calls that's not completely out-of-the-blue, but not exactly expected either? and was it ever "late" on a friday night at the end of a long week when you just wanted to hear a friendly voice?
i received one of those calls last night and no, it wasn't very late (10:40 or so?) but i had headed to bed early to just be a blah. not to feel blah, but to be one.
the call was just what i needed. there are some people that are just really good at making me feel good about myself, and "Kamensky" is one of them. he told me funny stories, made me laugh (as usual), and assured me that i wasn't crazy - someone would come be my knight in shining armor some day.
more than any of that he just reminded me that though we may not be in contact as often as we should or could, i know he's always out there somewhere looking out for me. those are the best kind of friends and i'm glad to have him as one of mine.
