Stealth lacrosse
went to see the San Jose Stealth of the National Lacrosse League on friday night. thanks to ichat at work, i got the invite from Liz and Andrea with enough time to decide to go and to ask Tiffani if she wanted to go. we met the 'Nettes and Ellaine at Liz and Andrea's, had a nice time petting the pups, and then headed off to the Tank.
it was a semi-momentous (okay, not really at all) occasion for me as it was my first trip back to the Tank since the GAB. we ended up sitting in section 107, which had a nice view of the corner where i broke my ankle, and a view of the tunnel that i hobbled down with Red and the unknown nice stranger.
my impression of lacrosse: wow, people think hockey is violent. i'm glad i went, had a blast seeing everyone, but i probably won't be going back to a game any time soon. unless there's no 2005-06 NHL season, in which case i might be going back!
bonuses of the night: saw G working at the arena...and i KNEW i had seen her before Vegas! she works Sharks games too, so i'm sure that's where i've seen her. also, Heather sang the national anthem! okay, not by herself, but we saw her! woo, Heather!
the Stealth were so stealth that their D was almost invisible, and they lost 14-6. still entertaining, though. especially the goalie and his 1/2 red pants. :-)
