whaaa happened?

saw this last night and wow, was it a powerful movie. it definitely left me thinking about a lot of things and also left me quite restless through the night.

while i try to be reasonably aware of national and international news, this movie humbled me and left me feeling very ignorant about events outside of my little personal bubble.

movies such as Hotel Rwanda should be seen by as many people who are going to see The Aviator, but given the mindset of most Americans, not even 10% of The Aviator population will see Hotel Rwanda.

i guess this qualifies as a half-rant, half-awareness post. i have so many thoughts about the movie running through my head that i can't even lay them out in a coherent manner. or maybe nothing i ever say is coherent!

anyhow, bottom line: go see this movie. it made me want to be a better person, and i hope that this feeling lasts far longer than the average half-life of feelings evoked by movies.
