Las Vegas recap
burn-in-ate! burn-in-ate! burn-in-ate!
i got to watch the Burninators play 5 awesome hockey games this weekend at the Las Vegas Women's hockey tournament. of course i would rather have been playing, but that will come. i can honestly say that i had more fun this weekend than i have had in a long time. the most important part for me was the great company. i was able to spend time with some great friends, got to know people better, and met some folks for the first time (and i hope our paths will cross again!)
i direct you to Liz, Andrea, and SoopahViv for game recaps. but here are some of the noteworthy occurances:
but for now, i can't wipe the grin off of my face (similar to Viv's permasmile) and have the chant of burn-in-ate stuck in my head. i have found that i'm saying many things today (out loud) in that burn-in-ate, triple-syllabic fashion.
thanks to all Burninators for a great weekend and for an awesome job at the tourney.

i direct you to Liz, Andrea, and SoopahViv for game recaps. but here are some of the noteworthy occurances:
- a rockin' flight to Vegas filled with "Ding-a-Lings" and me and my ankle setting off the metal detector
- a tournament opening win by the Burninators
- Thunder-inating with the boys from down under
- a semifinal game that was scoreless after regulation, scoreless after one 14 minute OT period, scoreless after a second 14 minute OT period, and WON BY THE BURNINATORS after a shootout. go Sharon!
- friendly fire and the creation of Mary's nickname, "Stitches"
- watching the Stitches line and the Midget/Scrappy line in action
but for now, i can't wipe the grin off of my face (similar to Viv's permasmile) and have the chant of burn-in-ate stuck in my head. i have found that i'm saying many things today (out loud) in that burn-in-ate, triple-syllabic fashion.
