the boot gets the boot!

hey, my left foot fits into a shoe again! woohoo! okay, so the laces are really loose and it hurts a bit to walk around without the boot, but i need to do so to regain the range of motion i need for walking like a normal person. yeah, yeah, i know...as normal as i can be. :-)

had PT yesterday and got some more exercises to do. one of them is balancing on my left foot. the good thing: i can put weight on my left foot. the revealing thing: i never realized how many little stabilizing muscles it would take to keep one's balance. needless to say, i'm not good at the balancing thing yet. though i am proud to say i can do it on my right foot. crossovers, here i come!

anyhow, back to PT tomorrow and then off to see the doctor. nothing like 2 appointments in one morning to wipe out half of my work day. grrrrr.

it's good to be back in the swing of things at work, especially now that i can hobble down the hallway to take pictures of gels, move across the lab to find heat blocks, etc.

time for ankle exercises now.

Gimp!

In my most ironic moment of the new year, the weather got warm and it is a bad thing. It caused a lot of overflow on some rivers, suspending my activities that make mother nature cry. The hefty snowfall then shutdown all my non-river activities as well.

Leroy is safe for now!

Yes yes yes! Whoo! Bye bye boot!

PT hurts, but it's kinda interesting, all the stuff you learn along the way.

Oh, that reminds me, do they have you using one of those platforms with the half ball on the bottom (I'm guessing not yet)? Dunno if you'll need one, but if you do, I've got one you can use. :)
